Following the tremendous effort by the Nigerian government to curb the spread of coronavirus, plus efforts taking as safety measures in the country, Lagos has recorded a decline in the number of cases.

As a result of this, the state has closed down some COVID-19 isolation centres. The Eti-Osa facility was shut and another one in Lekki.

The Agidingbi isolation centre will also be shut and the patients relocated to a large capacity Centre in Anthony area, which will be soon commissioned.

This was disclosed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at Lagos House, Marina, during the 17th update on the management of coronavirus in the state.

According to him, the Infectious Diseases Hospital (IDH) in Yaba will revert to its status as a care centre to cater to all forms of infectious diseases.

However, the tent built at IDH premises by Coalition Against COVID-19 (CACOVID) will still function strictly for the management of cases of COVID-19, He said.
